If the Bulls win game four this afternoon against Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, I will rank it above the NFL’s Super Bowl.

We all know, the Super Bowl is the Mecca of American sports. Once upon a time, it was the MLB’s World Series, but these days, football has past baseball as the number one watched or paid attention to American sport.

With this said, a Bull’s victory to even the series at 2-2 would escalate past the Super Bowl in my 2010 sports enjoyment.

Lets look at the situation. The Chicago Bulls have been called the worst team in the playoffs. They did have the worst record and didn’t even secure a spot in the post season until the last game of the regular season.

The Bulls then got the lucrative eight seed, to face off against the monster we all know as Lebron James. The Bulls are the supreme underdog. Many columnists thought the Cavaliers were going to sweep the Bulls, but Chicago won game three to kill their dream.

Even though they lost game two by 10 points, the Chicago Bulls played perfect basketball. They only committed four turnovers, defenders had their hands in the face of Cleveland shooters and the big men scopped up all the rebounds. After this game, I to though, how would we win.

The answer, ended up being Chicago’s back court. In game three, Rose scored 31 and Kirk Hinrich added 27 points. They pushed the tempo. Instead of settling for jump shots, they ran the ball down Cleveland’s throat. As soon as the ball was inbounded or a re-boundwas grabbed, most likely by Joakim Noah, the Bulls were full speed down the court.

Chicago has to repeat their marathon performance if they want to take game four. The Bulls have been playing with a chip on their shoulder. I think being called a bad team and the worst in the playoffs has reached the pride of Noah, Rose, Hinrich and even Luol Deng, who has been playing well.

It is obvious, the Bulls have heart. It is obvious, Vinny Del Negro is coaching his team to try to secure his job. If the Bulls can push the Cavs to a seven game series, he might keep it. If heart and a passion to remain a NBA head coach combine, the possibility of Chicago winning might be in their favor.

Winning, not only game four, but maybe game five.

The Bulls played a solid game. I couldn’t ask for more from them. Lebron James was just too much for the Bulls, as the Cavs took game two, 112-102.

Three players scored more than 20 points. Joakim Noah scored 25, Derrick Rose 23 and Luol Deng 20. Instead of getting killed by 12 rebounds, they grabbed one more than the Cavs 37-36. Including 13 offensive rebounds, seven of which were grabbed by Noah.

For the most part, a Bull was always in the face of a shooter. Jamario Moon got a couple open three pointers in the corner, but other than that, the defense was respectable. Deng and Noah were in the right position for some timely blocks leading to fast break points.

Rose and Hinrich continually drove into the lane for layups or to dish to an open Taj Gibson and Noah under the basket. They pushed the tempo at the right time. I say the right time, because the Bulls will not win a marathon against the Cavs. In this game, the Bulls ran off of steals and any opportunity where the man count was in their favor. In game one, they constantly slowed the pace down, they hardly ever ran.

The Bulls also took care of the ball. In game one they had seven turnovers in the first half. In game two they had four giveaways in the entire game while Cleveland committed 11 turnovers. Chicago paid attention to the defensive schemes and took what the defense gave them instead of taking risks.

Like I said, the Bulls played a fundamentally sound game with some big highlights. Deng and Noah blocks, Noah dunking on a three-on two fast break and Rose gashing the Cavs front line for any look he wanted.

The reason they didn’t win, Lebron James. What else can be said? Everyone knows what Lebron is going to bring to the game. The Bulls have little chance to stop him, they can only hope he has an off night. Tonight he scored 40 points off of 16-23 from the field. He was hitting three pointers with Deng and James Johnson in his face. He even cut down the middle of paint and dunked on Johnson, making him the wrong guy in the poster.

He was perfect from the free throw line, 6-6, and had 10 rebounds and assists. There is absolutely nothing the Bulls can do. When Lebron turns on the switch, there isn’t much anyone in the league can do.

Game three is Wednesday in Chicago. Maybe, being back in Chicago will give Noah (who said he didn’t like being in Cleveland) and the Bulls the extra momentum to get them past the Goliath named Lebron James.

DO YOU THINK LEBRON IS TOO MUCH FOR THE BULLS TO GET AT LEAST ONE GAME??

Congratulations to the Bulls for making the dream of a playoff birth last one more day with the win against the Boston Celtics. Now, is the final challenge.

If the Bulls defeat the seventh seed Charlotte Bobcats tonight, they will be the eighth seed in the eastern conference. If they don’t win and the Toronto Raptors beat the New York Knicks tonight, then the Bulls stay in Chicago while the Raptors continue to play.

The Bulls have won two games against the Bobcats, including a game a week and a half ago. If the Bulls play with the same tenacity and poise they did against the Celtics, then they will be in the playoffs. Lets make it happen, D-Rose and company.

The Chicago Bulls are finally back in the playoff tree, well for now. The Bulls bone stomped the Toronto Raptors 104-88 to steal the eighth and final spot in the playoffs from the Raptors.

This is great. the bad part is, the Bulls now have to rely on the Raptors to lose their last two games against the bad Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks. The Raptors are not a good team, but it is going to be hard for them to lose both of these games even if their star, Chris Bosh, isn’t in the lineup.

Chicago has two tough opponents in the Boston Celtics and Charlotte Bobcats. Both teams have clenched a playoff spot. We beat Charlotte a week ago, so it is possible. Boston is always in consideration to win the championship. The Celtics are old, so, Head Coach Doc Rivers may sit Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. If they do play, hopefully it will limited minutes, this would give Chicago a win, I think.

I’m also the guy who said Chicago had a give me win against the New Jersey Nets. We all saw what happened, awful.

The win against Toronto is definitely a momentum boost the Bulls need. They looked like a playoff team instead of terrible that they tend to do. They didn’t settle for tough shots and they had good ball movement. This style of basketball is the only chance the Bulls have of beating Boston and Charlotte.

Derrick Rose had 26 points and 7 assists. Joakim Noah recorded another double-double with 18 points and 19 rebounds. Hakim Warrick and Ronald Murray came off the bench to score 10 points a piece.

Three days after the Bulls played the Charlotte Bobcats and Tyrus Thomas for the first time since he was traded, the Bulls will play their other mid season traded player, John Salmons and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Salmons went to the Bucks and has become their leader, averaging 20 points and four assists a game. Since he has been a Buck, they have an impressive 18-6 record and went from not thinking about the playoffs to the fifth seed in the eastern conference.

He is a good shooter, when he is on, but he is very inconsistent. I didn’t mind when the Bulls got rid of him. I’m glad he is playing well, but I still think he will filter out to 13 or 14 points per game.

I’m sick of hearing everyone saying fear the deer.

I refuse, there isn’t anything to fear. Bulls are stronger and have thicker horns than a deer’s puny antlers. When healthy, Chicago has a better lineup. Guess what, they are healthy.

Milwaukee on the other hand is not. Andrew Bogut is out with an injury to his entire arm-hand, wrist and elbow. He will probably be out for the rest of the season. His career year of 16 ppg, 10 rebounds per game and two and a half blocks per game is history. With him gone, I think the Bucks are done.

37 year old Kurt Thomas is done and Dan Gadzuric is horrible and an extremely over paid player. I wish I could get paid $6 million to only average two points and two rebounds a game; put me in coach.

The Buck’s inside game is done. There isn’t anyone in the middle to get double teamed any more. This means no more open looks for Salmons and Brandon Jennings (even though he has been struggling).

The Bulls have a great chance of catching the deer in the headlights. Rose has been fantastic. He is the floor general the Bulls have been looking for since Ron Harper. Kirk Hinrich was that guy, but he became inconsistent in making good decisions.

Hinrich is still a valuable player, just not a good leader by himself. Hinrich is by far the best perimeter defender and has a pretty decent jumper.

Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson seem to have a five mile reach when it comes to grabbing rebounds. Saturday against the Bobcats, they had 31 combined boards. This will help any team win, especially if the opponent doesn’t have any big men.

When our starters get tired, okay, bring Ronald Murray and Hakim Warrick off the bench. Murray has been putting up 20 to 23 points on a nightly basis while Warrick adds 10 and four rebounds. If either one of these players gets resigned in the summer, I wouldn’t mind. They are good role players to have come off the bench.

Here is the perfect defensive match ups. Put Hinrich on Salmons. Salmons is bigger, but Hinrich knows how to use his body and arm length. Rose is quicker and stronger than Jennings, so pair them up. Luol Deng shouldn’t have much problems with Carlos Delfino because of his wing span. Noah and Gibson don’t have anything to worry about in the middle except swatting driving attempts.

If the Bulls come with their “A” game, they could easily win tonight. Milwaukee should run from the Bulls.

Tyrus Thomas and the Charlotte Bobcats came to the United Center hoping to strengthen their seventh seed on the playoff tree. Instead, the Bulls rose to the challenge and won 96-88.

Chicago was in the lead for 95% of the game. They started the game firing on all cylinders leading 10-4 within the first four minutes. They did not let up.

The Bobcats went on a 11-2 run to start the fourth quarter. The attempt was soon canceled out by Derrick Rose’s continual attack to the basket. They took the lead with 8:55 left in the game. The Bulls got it back with three minutes remaining in the game on a 25 foot jumper from Kirk Hinrich. They then built the lead up to eight points to get the victory.

Tyrus Thomas didn’t get any attention at all from the fans until he entered the game late in the first quarter and scored five quick points. Then the Chicago fans booed him. I’ve already said this, but he deserved it. Late in the fourth quarter the United Center went nuts when Joakim Noah drove in the lane and dunked on Thomas. He was definitely the wrong guy on the poster, it was awesome.

The back court of Rose and Hinrich, went off. Rose scored 26 and Hinrich added 24. The rebounding skills of Taj Gibson and Noah were in full documentation against the Bobcats. Noah had 16 rebounds with 11 points and Gibson grabbed 15 rebounds to complement his 14 points. 31 rebounds between two guys will help anyone win. The Bulls out rebounded Charlotte 56-33.

Chicago’s chances of getting into the playoffs are looking slim. Toronto also got a W tonight by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers. Chris Bosh and company have to lose for the Bulls to catch up. At least, Rose and his company are doing the part of the situation they can control, winning games.

Tonight the Bulls are hosting the Charlotte Bobcats. Tyrus Thomas is making his first trip to Chicago since being traded to Charlotte. I wonder how the crowd is going to react.

I would boo. Thomas was a bust as a Bull. He played inconsistently and uninspired. He is long, athletic and a shot blocking presence in the low post, but only when he wants to.

Thomas was also a locker room problem. He complained and argued with coaches because he didn’t get his way. He is a baby. I hope the fans at the United Center give him a ear full.

One might think he will try to prove he can play, I am one of these. But, we all know he has talent and athletic ability, he just doesn’t have a work ethic, a good personality or a hunger to win.

I’m glad he is gone. Now, I hope he can help the Bulls out, by making mistakes for the Charlotte Bobcats as Chicago fights for a playoff spot.

The Bulls beat the Detroit Pistons 110-103 in Detroit. This win gave Chicago the season sweep against their central division rival. The last time the Bulls swept Detroit was 14 seasons ago when a men like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were wearing the black and red jerseys.

Chicago led the entire game. They went on a scoring streak in the second quarter, braking the game open with a 34-22 advantage. The Pistons cut the lead to seven in the fourth quarter but could not handle Derrick Rose and Ronald Murray in the final minutes.

Murray scored 23 points while Rose added 21 and 9 assists. Brad Miller added 17 points and Taj Gibson was one point shy of a double-double with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

This is great for the Bulls since they’re fighting for a playoff spot. With this victory they are only a half game back of the Toronto Raptors for 8th place.

They won four of their last five games. Of course, the one loss was a 29 point blow out from Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat but they did win the games they should win. The Bulls beat the awful New Jersey Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, Pistons and the down and out Houston Rockets.

Wins like this will help them pass the Raptors. If they keep winning they could possibly find themselves in 7th place, but lets take it one seed at a time.

The Bulls host Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat tonight as the Bulls try to make a push for a playoff birth.

Both teams have won their last two games, so the momentum seems equal. The Bulls have looked better since Derrick Rose has come back from injury and Joakim Noah continues his rehabilitation.

The Bulls are two and a half games back from the Toronto Raptors for the last playoff spot. There are only a dozen games remaining in Chicago’s regular season. The last two games have been a success but the same outcome needs to be the result against Miami if the Bulls wish to make the offseason.

Miami is in sixth place, but is only half a game ahead of the Charlotte Bobcats and one game ahead of the Raptors. Wade continues to play out of his mind, but doesn’t have the surrounding players to back him up. The problem all Bulls fans found out earlier in the season is, Wade can take over and win a game by himself.

Kirk Hinrich will need to have a great defensive game as well as help Rose orchestrate the offense. If Vinny Del Negro wants any chance of keeping his job for the future, he will find a way to rally his team into the post season.

The Chicago Bulls are on the outside looking in of the playoffs. They are two and a half games behind the Toronto Raptors for a post season appearance. The Bulls snapped a 10 game losing streak against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets, needs to be a victory or the Bulls might as well close up shop and wait for free agency.

During the 10 games, the Bulls were fighting injuries. Joakim Noah did not play a game in March until the win against Philadelphia. He played limited minutes but is looking well in his comeback from his left foot injury. Derrick Rose also made his return on Saturday after missing four games with a wrist injury.

These two players are the corner stones of the young Bulls roster. Add Taj Gibson who I believe is a top five rookie from his draft class and Luol Deng, after he sits for two weeks with his re-aggravated calf injury, and they have a very promising team on paper.

Like I said, on paper. Paper doesn’t mean nothing without wins. The Bulls still have a shot for the playoffs. The Toronto Raptors are not better than the Bulls and have a tougher schedule coming up. Chicago will not make it if they continue to lose games to teams who season is pretty much over.

The Rockets are around .500 but they are in the tough Western Conference. They are in ninth place, the same as the Bulls, but they are behind four and a half games to the Portland Trailblazers. The Rockets are not going to catch up, their season is over.

The Bulls have a chance, they just have to play like they know it.
